To contact a representative, call (514) 908-2528 or 1 877 908-2528, Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
When you call, it is important to have your account number on hand. This number is composed of seven characters. The first five characters are your client number and the last two characters (a letter and a number) identify the account type from which you would like to buy or sell.
No representative is specifically assigned to your account. As a result, each time you contact us it is possible that you will speak to a different representative. All of the Laurentian Bank Discount Brokerage representatives have the necessary training and meet the professional requirements needed to offer quality service.
If you call and ask to speak to a specific representative, it will be our pleasure to transfer your call if the representative is available. If this is not the case, you may leave a message for him or her to return your call.
The representative can provide you with a wide range of market information such as quotes, bond yields, certain historical data, exceptional events in the market, the availability of bonds in inventory (according to your search criteria), etc. However, as an independent investor, you must make your own investment decisions.
To make managing your investments easier, the representative will give you all the financial information related to your account upon request – market value, net value, the balance of cash accounts, the loan value and the margin available (in the case of margin accounts).
For specific and general questions, our representative is better able to help you outside of market hours, either before 9:30 a.m. or after 4:00 p.m.
All conversations are recorded for your protection. For this reason it is important to note the name of the representative you speak to as well as the date and time of the conversation.
Your transactions will be confirmed immediately if they are executed when you call. Otherwise, if you like, a representative can contact you during the day to confirm your transactions. No call will be made if the transaction was not executed.
